ISLAMABAD: Former president General (retd) Pervez Musharraf on Saturday filed a bail petition in the session court in the murder case of Lal Masjid’s cleric Ghazi Abdul Rasheed.

A session judge of Islamabad admitted the plea for formal hearing and issued notices to respondents to appear before it on October 18.

Musharraf’s plea was filed by Advocate Ilyas Siddiqui, who pleaded that his client be released on bail. Musharraf, he said, would fully cooperate with police and city administration during the investigation of this case.
