PakistanQuetta blast victims to be buried today; Relatives agree to end sit-in

QUETTA: Families of Quetta blast victims finally agreed on Wednesday to end their sit-in and resume burial of their beloved relatives’ bodies, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported.

On Tuesday evening, as Shia leaders announced to call off their country-wide protest after successful talks with the government, a few of the families of Quetta blast victims refused to bury their beloved ones demanding army action in the city.

In a joint press conference held on early Wednesday, Majlis Wehdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) leader Amin Shaheedi along with elders of Hazara community and heirs of Quetta blast victims said that families of Quetta blast victims continued their sit-in as some youths of the community were not ready to conclude it before approval of demands especially calling of army in Quetta.

“We have requested families of the victims to give us a chance, over dialogues with the regime, and review decision of continuing sit-in,” added the MWM leader, saying we respect sentiments of the aggrieved families of the blast victims and would follow their every decision.

Later on, a representative of the aggrieved families of Hazara community, agreed on ending their sit-in and starting burial of the bodies, saying we respect our clerics’ request and ready to honor it.

After getting approval of the victims’ families, MWM leader announced that very soon all sit-ins will end across the country and burial of bodies would start at 9.00am this morning.
