CHITRAL: A 5.6 magnitude earthquake struck Chitral, Dir and Swat on Saturday on Otober 5, 2013.  No casualties were reported until the last reports received.

People across the country are frightened as such tremors have been felt recently in several parts including Balochistan, Sindh and northern areas. Hundreds of the people died in earthquake that hit Balochistan recently.

Few days ago, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said that 5,000 families were affected in the recent earthquakes that hit parts of Balochistan.

According to the Pakistan army, as many as 476 people were killed while 428 wounded in the earthquake.
