PakistanSC takes suo moto notice of Quetta tragedy

ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC) on Monday took suo motu notice of the latest deadly bombing which claimed over 80 lives in Quetta, the provincial capital of restive Balochistan, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported.

A three-judge bench of the apex court, headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, will resume hearing the case from Tuesday, Feb 19.

The SC has issued notices to the Attorney General of Pakistan and Balochistan Advocate General. The suo motu notice was taken on a notice forwarded by the SC Registrar’s office.
