DERA GHAZI KHAN: A woman including two children were killed and many passengers wounded when a gas cylinder in a van exploded near Dera Ghazi Khan town of Punjab on Monday.

Police and rescue sources said a passenger van, carrying at least 20 people, was going to somewhere when its CNG gas cylinder exploded and the vehicle immediately caught fire.

The terrified passengers jumped out of the burning when to save their lives. Many of them suffered burn wounds.

Rescue team members said a woman and two children were critically injured and died before they could be taken to hospital.

The ill-fated van met the incident near Chowk Qureshi.
