NEW DELHI: The Indian government has issued visas the Faisalabad Wolves, enabling the Pakistani team to participate in the Champions League T20 2013 edition in India.

Initially the Indian government had denied visas to the team citing safety and security concerns.

The Faisalabad team, which won the Faysal Bank Super Eight T20 Cup under Pakistan Test and ODI captain Misbah-ul-Haq, has to go through a qualifying phase that would also feature the fourth-ranked team at the Indian Premier League, Otago Volts (New Zealand) and a Sri Lanka qualifier.

The team will depart for India on Saturday and play their qualifying round match on September 17.
