Sports1st Test: Pakistan all out for 249 on 2nd day against Zimbabwe

HARARE: On the 2nd day of the first cricket Test against Zimbabwe at Harare‚ Pakistan were all out for 249 runs a short while ago.

Earlier‚ Zimbabwe won the toss and elected to field first.

Pakistan openers failed miserably and returned soon to pavilion after poor show in the ground. Mohammad Hafiz made five runs, Khurram Manzoor 11 runs and Younus Khan only three runs.

Later on, skipper Misbah-ul-Haq played 93 runs’ partnership with Azhar Ali at fourth wicket. Misbah made 53 runs and returned to pavilion.

After skipper Misbah’s departure, once gain Pakistani batsmen started losing wickets. Asad Sgafiq made four runs, AdnanAkmal 18 runs, and Abdul Rehman seven runs.

Tailenders Saeed Ajmal and Junaid Khan played well and scored 67 much needed runs jointly. Both players were still playing well when first day’s play ended at completion of 89.5 overs.
