MOSUL: A senior Iraqi army intelligence officer along with three of his bodyguards was killed in a suicide attack in the Iraqi city of Mosul on Saturday, police officials said.
The police officials said the incident occurred when on Saturday morning a suicide bomber detonated his explosives near Brigadier General Ali Aouni’s car as he was leaving his home in Tal Afar, 420km northwest of Baghdad.
The officer was the head of the intelligence academy in the Iraqi defence ministry, the Associated Press news agency reported.
