Exceptional rain fall in Lahore breaks records on August 14, 2013 Rainfall on August 14—Independence Day is normal and every year Lahoriates expect that their butties they paste on their homes to celebrate Independence Day will rain dipped and they come on roads expecting rainfall but today rainfall was exceptional and unexpected as Lahore recorded 172mm rainfall in only 8 hours. Result was simple and expected—-there was canal like situation on every road of the city. Rainfall was almost everywhere in Pakistan on August 14, causing floods in the country. Posh areas like Model Town were also submerged.

Ukraine to receive 500,000 artillery shells by yearend from Czech Republic Monitoring Desk: In dire need to counter Russian aggression, Ukraine will receive 500,000 shells of various calibers by the end of this year from Czech Republic, reports Ukrinform. Referring to announcement of Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský, Ukrinform reports that Czech Republic will continue to provide support to Ukraine to repel and stop Russian aggression. "As you know, my country has launched an initiative on ammunition. By the end of the year, 500,000 large-caliber shells will be delivered. We will not stop there.
