QUETTA: At least two people died while several houses damaged as a severe storm and rain hit Nawan Kali area of the city.

Dozens of mud houses were destroyed in the rain while several trees and signboards were uprooted in the city.

At least five people, including three kids, sustained injuries when roof of a house collapsed in Nawan Kali area.

City roads were submerged under rain water causing severe traffic jams.

Meanwhile, 220KV transmission line tripped due to heavy rain and strom, disrupting electricity to 17 districts of the province.

The rain water also accumulated in hospitals where the patients and doctors are facing trouble.
