Kiev: According to Eastern European media, Germany has terminated the agreement on data exchange with the USA, France and Great Britain, concluded in 1968.

The corresponding notice is already sent to the USA, France and Great Britain by foreign policy department of Germany.

“The cancellation of the agreement caused by events of the last weeks, became a necessary and correct consequence of disputes on protection of private life” — the Foreign Minister of Germany declared to Gido Vestervell.

The agreement on data exchange was signed by the parties after acceptance by Germany in 1968 of the law on restriction of secret of correspondence, and also post and telecommunication. According to the reached agreements, among other, use by these countries of the data obtained by Federal department on protection of the constitution or Federal reconnaissance service (BND) was allowed. Besides, data could be requested and in case of threat of safety to the military contingents of the USA of Great Britain and France deployed in the territory of Germany after World War II.

In July the German magazine Der Spiegel reported with reference to the classified documents which have appeared at its order that the Federal intelligence service and federal department on protection of the constitution of Germany closely cooperated with National security agency of the USA (ANB). In particular it was reported that the German intelligence services received the XKeyScore program, allowing to trace history of Internet inquiries of users, to intercept their messages and to fix any activity in the Network from ANB.

Moscow says it won’t allow US to silence UNSC on Israeli violence against Palestinians Monitoring Desk: Russian envoy in United Nations Vasily Nebenzya said that the UN Security Council should bring peace, stability and prosperity to the Middle East and Russia would not allow United States to silence UNSC over the issue of Gaza crisis. According to TASS news Agency, Nebenzya said that Moscow will continue to call for an end to violence against Palestinians and will not allow the US to muzzle the UN Security Council as Washington seeks to support Israel's operation in Gaza. "We will continue to stand firmly for ending violence against the Palestinians. Without a shadow of a doubt, we will continue to expose the abuses and sanctimony with which the US is handling the situation. We will not allow the Americans to gag the entire council with their hands in an effort to encourage further continuation of Israel's ruthless operation," he said in a speech at the Security Council.
