14 dead as pick-up hits IED in Lower Dir

TIMERGARA: At least 14, including two children, were killed while 12 others were wounded when a passenger vehicle hit an improvised explosive device (IED) in the Landay Shah area in Lower Dir district on Sunday, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported on 16 September, 2012.

The outlawed Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) through its spokesman claimed responsibility for the roadside blast and said the attack was directed against the members of the pro-government peace body opposed to the militants.
