DND Report
Duplicity, loaded diction, and narrative buildings are part of today’s global media that has lost a portion of its credibility during reporting on Gaza genocide. Therefore, it has become irrelevant for truth seekers what global media reports on any sensitive subjects. However, it matters for students of journalism and media sciences.

An interesting review of reporting of Pakistan’s strikes on terror networking in Pak-Afghan border and inside Afghanistan over terror camps is as follow to know how narrative is being built by global media.
RT reports:
The attack was carried out overnight on Saturday in the eastern provinces of Nangarhar and Paktika. According to Afghanistan’s Defense Ministry, “various civilian areas” were hit, including a religious school and residential homes. At least 18 people, including women and children, were reportedly killed, and several others injured.
Using word ‘people including women and children” for terrorists who were killed while using their families as human shield are just call “people”. The news outlet did not use word “terrorists” in reporting but added statement of Pakistan government and President of Pakistan at the end of the story while placed Afghanistan’s version (Zabiullah Mujahid statement) just after introduction part of the story.

Arab News reported that Pakistan said it launched strikes on militant targets in Afghanistan after blaming recent suicide bombings, including assaults during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, on fighters it said were operating from its neighbor’s territory.
Interestingly, Pakistan never said it launched strike on “militant targets”. Pakistan statement was categorically said “the military “carried out intelligence-based, selective targeting of seven terrorist camps and hideouts belonging to the Pakistani Taliban of FAK and its affiliates and ISKP at the Pakistan-Afghanistan border with precision and accuracy,”
The report further said that:
Women and children were among the dozens killed and injured in Saturday’s attacks, the South Asian nation’s ruling Taliban said, in remarks Reuters could not verify, while its defense ministry vowed an appropriate response at a suitable time.
News outlet did not use word “terrorists” and stated that women and children were among the dozens killed and injured in Saturday’s attacks. These women and children were living in terror camps and terrorists were using them as human shields and everybody who knows even little of conflict reporting knows this strategy of terrorists being used globally since ages that they use their women and children as human shield so any attack would be portrayed as attack on “women and children”.

Aljazeera reported that Pakistan’s military has carried out air strikes in Afghanistan, targeting what it called ‘camps and hideouts’ belonging to armed groups. Afghanistan’s government said dozens of civilians were killed in the attacks, including women and children.
Pakistan never said that it carried out strikes on “camps and hideouts belonging to armed groups”. Pakistan clearly said that selective targeting of seven terrorist camps and hideouts belonging to the Pakistani Taliban of FAK and its affiliates and ISKP.
Washington Post reported that Pakistan claims to have killed at least 70 militants in strikes along the Afghan border. It also did not use word “terrorists” while Pakistan was categorical that “seven terrorist camps and hideouts belonging to the Pakistani Taliban of FAK and its affiliates and ISKP”
BBC reported that Pakistan has carried out multiple overnight air strikes on Afghanistan, which the Taliban has said killed at least 18 people, including women and children.
Islamabad said the attacks targeted seven alleged militant camps and hideouts near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border and that they had been launched after recent suicide bombings in Pakistan. The whole story did not use word “terrorists” and prefer to use word “militant”.

UN reports and US intelligence reports have been confirming that TTP and ISKP camps are present inside Afghanistan and TTP is using Afghan soil to attack Pakistan. Several reports of United Nations are clearly mentioning TTP and ISKP terrorists are attacking Pakistan, but the global media is shy to use word “terrorists” for terrorists and prefer to use “militants”, “fighters”, etc.
Is it not height of duplicity? This reporting is wakeup call for Pakistan also that how adversaries are managing media against Pakistan’s narrative, and there is a dire need to respond such kind of reporting that is contrary to facts. Pakistan has good enough experts who are managing media and diplomatic missions abroad that can contact and relevant media outlets those misreported Pakistan’s statement about the strikes because Pakistan did not use word “militant” but all of above-mentioned media outlets replaced word “terrorists” that Pakistan used in media statement on X with “militants”
