Quetta car blast kills five FC men

QUETTA: Five security personnel were killed when suicide bomber blew up his explosive-laden car at the Frontier Corps (FC) checkpost in Sharifabad area on the Kambrani Road, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported on 18 August, 2012.

The explosion took place at around 12:45am in the Sharifabad area on the Kambrani Road when the FC personnel attempted to intercept a suspected grey colour car. The driver of the vehicle, instead of stopping the vehicle, attempted to speed away and blew up the explosive-laden car. The explosion was so powerful that it was eard in the radius of several kilometers, police officials said.
