ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has given approval of forming an autonomous three-member commission for appointments of CEOs in public firms.

Approval for formation of commission has been given under guidelines of the Supreme Court. The Federal Tax Ombudsman will chair the commission and two members, Shams Qasim Lakha and Dr. Ajaz Nabi, will be taken from the civil society.

An international level’s HR firm will assist the commission in hiring of the CEOs of public companies. The hiring will be finalized after a process of competition between the candidates.
