Monitoring Desk: The commissioning parade of 123rd Midshipmen and 31st Short Service Commission Course, reflecting the glorious naval traditions, was held at Pakistan Naval Academy Karachi

Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir attended the occasion as the chief guest. Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf welcomed the chief guest upon his arrival at the Naval Academy.

The commissioning term of the 123rd Midshipmen and the 31st Short Service Commission Course included 127 midshipmen, including 19 from Bahrain, 4 from Iraq and 2 from the State of Palestine. In addition, 23 cadets of the Short Service Commission Course were also part of the commissioning term.

Addressing the parade, the chief guest congratulated the commissioned officers and their families. He appreciated the Naval Academy for providing quality training to cadets from Pakistan and friendly countries. The chief guest said that the Pakistan Naval Academy has been providing excellent professional training to cadets from friendly countries.

The presence of cadets from Bahrain, Iraq, the State of Palestine, the Republic of Djibouti, and the Republic of Turkey in today’s commissioning parade is a reflection of the high standard of training at the Pakistan Naval Academy.

Furthermore, highlighting the professional capabilities of the Pakistan Navy, the chief guest said that as a major regional naval power, the efforts of the Pakistan Navy to ensure the security of the global sea lines of communication are long-standing. He highlighted the recent tension between Pakistan and India and said that during Operation Banyan Marsus, the armed forces of Pakistan demonstrated a prompt and decisive response against an enemy many times larger than itself in terms of numbers. This action is clear proof that Pakistan is fully prepared and determined to protect its national integrity and sovereignty.
