The time is up to dismantle the US deep state so the cut threads linking to it. The US President Donald Trump and his team, even during their election campaign, had been voicing loud and clear that the US deep state had been instrumental in spreading terrorism directly or indirectly. This could be a reason the US previous administration had been shy to appreciate Pakistan openly although Pakistan sacrified its past and present in fighting against global terrorism.
After assuming power, the Trump administration shared horrific information about how the Biden administration had been filling the pockets of declared terrorists with US taxpayers’ money in Afghanistan. There is no need to go into detail, but following links would be helpful to read undeniable facts about how the Biden administration had been financially supporting terrorists and the Afghan Taliban.
Realising the realities of the region, President Trump is now not only appreciating the role of Pakistan to fight out terrorism and trying to dismantle global terrorists outfits rather Trump is prizing Pakistan in cash and kind such as approving $397 Million for Pakistan’s F-16 Fleet and $5.3 billion for security-related exceptions despite the executive order halting overseas funding.
On Wednesday, the US President Trump appreciated the Pakistani government during his address to a joint session of Congress for assisting in killing global terrorists. “Three and a half years ago, a terrorist killed 13 American service members and countless others in the Abbey Gate bombing,” Trump said. Tonight, I am pleased to announce that we have just apprehended the top terrorist responsible for that atrocity. And he is right now on his way here to face the swift sword of American justice. I want to thank, especially, the Pakistani government for helping arrest this monster,” President Trump added.
What does the arrest of high-profile terrorist Sharifullah alias Jafar prove?
1—Pakistan and the new government of President Trump cooperate strongly on counterterrorism. Both governments are cooperating in many ways, and the arrest of Sharifullah alias Jafar confirms the close relationship between Pakistan and the US in this field.
2- Sharifullah’s arrest also proves that Pakistan’s position on Afghanistan being a hotbed of terrorism is correct.

Afghanistan–A launching pad for global terrorism
Available documents suggest that Sharifullah alias Jafar was not only involved in the Kabul Airport attack but also the Moscow attack. A Special Agent of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) submitted his statement to the United States Magistrate Judge in the court on March 2, 2025, in which he indicated that ISIS-K attacked Crocus City (on March 22, 2024) might be linked with the same group of people. During investigation, on or about March 2, 2025, Sharifullah confirmed that he received an order from a known ISIS-K senior leader to provide instructions on how to properly use AK-style rifles and other weapons to would-be attackers in Moscow. Sharifullah shared video instructions with several individuals. Following the attack, Russian authorities arrested four gunmen in connection with the attack. Sharifullah recognized two of those individuals as the same people to whom he provided the firearms training video. Sources said that Sharifullah was arrested by security forces of Pakistan sometime back while crossing into Pakistan from Afghanistan.
Pakistan has always played an important role in the fight against terrorism. Pakistan has made countless sacrifices in the war on terrorism for two decades, including the martyrdom of security forces personnel and innocent civilians. There is no doubt that the world has praised Pakistan’s role in the war on terrorism and now US President Donald Trump has also praised Pakistan’s role in the war on terrorism. US President Trump’s appreciation of Pakistan’s efforts in this speech is proof that the US attaches great importance to its long-standing relations with Pakistan and Trump’s speech today is a big blow to those who wanted to see a breakdown in Pak-US relations after Trump came to power. Trump’s speech shows that in the future, counter-terrorism cooperation between the two countries may increase further.
This statement by the US President is not only an acknowledgement of Pakistan’s sacrifices and efforts but also shows that Pakistan’s role in the global war on terrorism is of great importance.
In the context of the current situation and US President Trump’s speech, all this is a big setback for those who were calling Trump’s victory a “trump card” for themselves against the Pakistani government.
