Afghan National involved in terrorism was killed in North Waziristan

Rawalpindi, Pakistan: On 6 February 2025, an Afghan National involved in terrorism inside Pakistan was killed during an operation conducted by the security forces in general area Datta Khel of North Waziristan.

The individual was later identified as Luqman Khan alias Nusrat (Afghan National), Son of Kamal Khan, resident of Spera District, Khost Province, Afghanistan.

Interim Afghan Government authorities are being approached to take over the body of the individual, being an Afghan citizen.

It may be mentioned the leadership of Pakistan Army during 267th Corps Commanders’ Conference expressed grave concern over the continued use of Afghan soil by Fitna Al Khawarij for terrorist activities against Pakistan. The forum stressed the imperative of concrete and tangible actions by Interim Afghan Government against Fitna Al Khawarij (TTP terrorists) instead of denials as well as continuing with the strategy of undertaking all necessary measures in defence of Pakistan and its people. Participants paid profound tribute to the sacrifices made by the Shuhada of the Armed Forces, Law Enforcement Agencies, and citizens who have laid down their lives in pursuit of peace and stability of their beloved motherland. The forum undertook a comprehensive review of the regional, and internal security landscape, assessing the full spectrum of threats.
