DND Report

The former prime minister and founder of PTI Imran Khan has sent a six-point letter to the Army Chief Gen Asim Munir, praising the role of the Pakistan Army in protecting the country from terrorists who were resettled in Pakistan by no one else than Imran Khan himself.

Many journalists, particularly from the government camp, are calling Imran Khan’s move another U-turn and begging COAS to take him out of jail. However, logical analysis of the content of the letter indicates that it is another attempt by him to create a fault line between the ranks and file of the military and an act of hate-mongering.

On the surface, the letter’s content shows that it is not a letter but an admission of defeat by Imran Khan and an act of boot-licking because he wrote to same COAS about whom this chaotic-minded person made baseless allegations and propagated in every way, but when he saw that things were not going well, now he has come to apologize and write a letter to him and it is another U-turn Khan has made like hundreds he took during his political life.

Journalists aligned with the PMLN camp claim this letter of Imran Khan to the Army Chief is a vow of a defeated person which he finally had to do and now he has started this work, the example of this letter is like a cat going on Hajj after eating a hundred mice. Government camp journalists promote in their talk shows that if the letter is read, it will be clearly seen in it how much the founder of PTI has come down on the vows and vows. However, if the letter is read carefully with an analytical mind, its six key points are actual allegations against the Pakistan Army of misconduct, intervention in politics, manipulation of political events, and mishandling of the security situation in the country because the letter is urging the Army Chief to reconsider certain policies, claiming that existing strategies are fostering resentment among the public, widening the gap between civilians and the military and the letter is an attempt to widen the gap between civilians and the military.

The letter also demanded Army Chief, review the policies and play a role in the establishment of a Judicial Commission in cases of May 9, 2023, although Pakistan Army had categorically said several times that it has nothing to do with the governance of the country and the government is sitting to handle administrative and political issues and that is doing amicably.

Is Imran Khan’s personality as primitive as of amygdala stage?

In this letter, he did not apologize for the propaganda against the army he had been doing for the last three years. Even a day ago, Imran Khan was blaming the Pakistan Army for the increase in terrorism and now in his letter, he is praising the efforts of the Pakistan Army against terrorism but again claiming that the nation was not standing with the Army and Army must do more. In simple words, his letter is a well-calculated move to create a rift between the people and the Pakistan Army with his anti-establishment narrative. Remember this is the same man who had formally attacked the Pakistan Army on May 9, 2023, and then declared it a false flag operation by the Pakistan Army. So, let him first explain whether he was right earlier or if is he correcting it by writing a letter now.

If we look at the past of the founder of PTI, he used to mislead the youth against the Pakistan Army and accused the military leadership of treason, but now playing a role by writing a letter to the same Army Chief is the biggest example of his duplicity. The reference to rigging the elections in the letter is also a kind of allegation against everybody and he knows the elections have been held the new government is fulfilling its responsibilities and the Pakistan Army had nothing to do with the election process and out of these elections PTI is the second largest party in National Assembly, the Senate and has government in one province (KP). Therefore, his party is part of the entire system that came into existence after the transparent elections of 2024. Imran Khan should answer the question that when he is benefiting from all the privileges of the general elections in 2024, why does he criticize others?

The question here is also that in what capacity did Khan write the letter to the Army Chief? Today he is not even the party chairman and is currently a convicted criminal, so whether a letter from a convicted criminal has any status or not is also an important question.

In a nutshell, it can be understood that this letter is part of a campaign for trying to create a rift between the Pakistan Army and the people and create a gap between them. This letter is nothing just a nefarious attempt to somehow create misunderstandings between the Pakistan Army and its leadership and weaken the Pakistan Army in some way or the other.
