LAHORE, Pakistan: A new spell of monsoon has begun across the Country with early morning rains in Lahore and various other cities turning the weather pleasant.
In the Punjab’s Capital Lahore, light to heavy rains – lashed different areas – created a delightful atmosphere.
Heavy showers were reported in areas such as Abbott Road, Shimla Pahari, Garhi Shahu, and around the Railway Station, leading to water accumulation in low-lying areas and prompting the district administration to take immediate action.
In Lahore, 7 mm of rain was recorded on Jail Road, 3 mm in Gulberg, 12 mm in Lakshmi Chowk, 8 mm in Pani Wala Talab, and 5 mm in Qurtaba Chowk.
Meanwhile, heavy rains turned everything into a watery scene in Punjab’s Cities such as Safdarabad, Sangla Hill, and surrounding areas. Thunderstorms in Klor Kot added to the charm while torrential rain in Chiniot submerged low-lying areas, exposing the claims of the administration.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain with strong winds and thunderstorms in Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pothohar region, Islamabad, northeastern Punjab, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan today while the weather in other parts of the Country is expected to remain hot and dry.
