ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Punjab police thwarted an attack carried by terrorists on police check post in Taunsa district of Punjab province.

In statement on Thursday, the Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi paid tribute to the police for thwarting the attack of Kharji terrorists on the police post in Taunsa.

The interior minister said that personnel deployed at the checkpoint bravely foiled the nefarious intentions of the terrorists.

“We salute the brave personnel of of Punjab Police who thwarted the attack of foreign terrorists,” the minister said.

Mohsin Naqvi said that the police stationed at Taunsa checkpoint repulsed the cowardly attack of the Kharji terrorists by showing courage in time.

“We are proud of the brave personnel of Punjab police,” the minister said.
