BARA: The operations commander of the banned Lashkar-e-Islam (LI) along with his associate was killed while planting a bomb on the roadside in Akakhel area of Bara tehsil in Khyber Agency, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported on 07 August, 2012.
LI commander for Bara and settled areas, Said Rehman and his fellow militants were planting an explosive device on the roadside in Spin Qabar area of Akakhel late Sunday night when it went off, official sources said.
As a result of the explosion, Said Rehman and Kamran were killed and three other militants sustained critical injuries.
