ISLAMABAD: The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet at its meeting in Islamabad has reviewed the implementation of two billion rupees Ramazan Relief Package.
The meeting chaired by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar was informed that one billion rupees of Ramazan Relief Package has already been released to the Ministry of Industries and production.
The Minister told the meeting that to ensure positive impact of the Package‚ many decision were also taken at a meeting of the National Price Monitoring Committee on Wednesday.
He hoped these measures would provide maximum relief to the people.
Ministry of Commerce informed the meeting that Trading Corporation of Pakistan has issued a tender for procurement of 50000 tons of white sugar from local sugar mills. Second tender for an equal quantity will be issued soon.
The meeting expressed satisfaction over the liquidation of 322 billion rupee in circular debt and the remaining amount of 181 billion would be settled by the end of this month.
