ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Ambassador of Belarus Andrei Metelitsa met the Minister for Defence & Defence Production Khawaja Muhammad Asif in Islamabad on Wednesday.

In the meeting, matters of mutual interest, particularly cooperation in the field of defence production came under discussion.

The federal minister appreciated the existing mutual goodwill and bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and Belarus.

The minister was of view that Belarus is an important Country and Pakistan attaches great importance to its bilateral relations with Belarus.

The defence minister expressed that the high-level visits between two Countries have extensively contributed to strengthening the bilateral relations.

Khawaja Asif also opined that Pakistan and Belarus share a cordial history of bilateral relations in economy, trade and defence.

The minister emphasized the need for furthering existing levels of cooperation between the two Countries.
