QUETTA: Sardar Akhtar Mengal, the President of Balochistan National Party- Mengal (BNP-M), has said that external forces were involved in all matters of Pakistan, including the issue of handing down punishment to a former dictator.

Talking to newsmen on Wednesday, Mengal said Baloch could have been brought to the negotiating table if his six-points given in the Supreme Court of Pakistan had been accepted.

The nationalist leader also alleged that there was no rule of provincial Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch in Balochistan and that actual powers rested with someone else.

Mengal added that external hands were involved in all matters of Pakistan including the matter pertaining to handing out punishment to a former military dictator.

Talking about the results of general elections of 2013, the BNP-M chief claimed that the establishment had its role in his defeat adding that poll results of those areas where the BNP-M had won were withheld for three days.

He further said that the election result of the constituency where BNP-M’s central leader Rauf Mengal had contested elections were altered three times.

Mengal also said that he strives to democratically remain within the existing system.

He also said that in the history of Pakistan only innocent people were punished.
