TEHRAN, Iran: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif visited Tehran to attend the funeral ceremony of late President of Iran Dr. Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi, late Foreign Minister of Iran Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and their companions who embraced martyrdom in a tragic helicopter accident in the Eastern Azerbaijan province of Iran on May 19, 2024.

The prime minister was received at the airport on Wednesday morning by the Minister for Road and Urban Development Mehrdad Bazrpash along with the Ambassador of Pakistan in Tehran Mudassir Tipu.

Shehbaz Sharif offered condolences on behalf of the people and government of Pakistan to Acting President Dr. Mohammad Mokhber and wished him success on his new role.

The prime minister was accompanied by the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Federal Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi, Federal Commerce Minister Jam Kamal Khan, Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, and the Prime Minister’s Special Assistant Tariq Fatimi.
