ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Spokesman to the Chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has rubbished claims about Bhutto family in the Dubai Leaks or also dubbed as Dubai Unlocked.

In a statement on Tuesday, the Spokesperson Zulfikar Ali Bader said that all the national and international assets of Chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Aseefa Bhutto Zardari have been declared in the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).

The Spokesperson said that the whole world knows that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Aseefa Bhutto Zardari grew up in exile. He said that the siblings resided in the mentioned properties during the exile of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto in Dubai. After her martyrdom, the properties in Dubai were inherited by her children,

Zulfikar Ali Bader said that details of all the assets of the PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Bibi Aseefa Bhutto Zardari are published on the ECP’s website and shared annually.

Moreover, details of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Aseefa Bhutto Zardari’s properties in Dubai are already public.

The Spokesperson further said that there is nothing new or illegal in this story. Apparently, this is neither news nor a scandal as the information is already in the public domain.

Any action or insinuation based on defamation will be challenged in the relevant forums, he said.

Earlier, the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP) report titled ‘How Dirty Money Finds a Home in Dubai Real Estate’ revealed that three children of Pesident Asif Ali Zardari namely Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari, and Aseefa Bhutto Zardari are listed as owning two properties in the Jumeirah 1 and Al Safa 2 areas of Dubai.

In response to the OCCRP, a lawyer for Aseefa Bhutto Zardari said that her unspecified Dubai assets “have been duly declared to the relevant authorities in Pakistan.”
