ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held comprehensive talks with the Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov in Islamabad on Wednesday on all aspects of a range of bilateral relations with a focus on trade, investment, security, people-to-people contacts and connectivity projects.Pakistan, Uzbek FMs discuss all aspects of bilateral ties

They also resolved to expedite efforts for early implementation of the Uzbekistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan Railway Project.

The two dignitaries also planted a tree at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad as a symbol of friendship and a joint dedication to a green and sustainable future.

Earlier last night, the Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov arrived in Pakistan on a two-day visit.

Following his arrival, the Uzbek foreign minister met Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and exchanged views on a wide range of bilateral issues of mutual interest with special focus on trade and connectivity.

His visit is expected to provide fresh impetus to the friendly relations between the two Countries, according to the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mumtaz Zahra Baloch.
