ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Caretaker Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani spoke with the Foreign Minister of Iran Hossein Amir-Abdollahian on phone on Friday.

During the telephonic conversation, the Foreign Minister Jilani expressed Pakistan’s readiness to work with Iran on all issues based on spirit of mutual trust and cooperation.

Jilani underscored the need for closer cooperation between the two neighboring Countries on security issues.

Separately, the Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani also held a telephonic conversation with his Turkish Counterpart Hakan Fidan and discussed the ongoing developments between Pakistan and Iran.

Talking to the Foreign Minister of Turkiye Hakan Fidan, Jilani shared Pakistan’s perspective and the recent developments.

The foreign minister told him that Pakistan’s Operation Marg Bar Sarmachar was aimed at terrorist camps inside Iran and that Pakistan has no interest or desire in escalation.
