ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Ms. Shahera Shahid, a BS-22 Officer of Information Group, has been posted as the Secretary Information and Broadcasting Division.
“Ms. Shahera Shahid, a BS-22 Officer of Information Group (IG), presently awaiting posting in Establishment Division, is transferred and posted as Secretary, Information and Broadcasting Division, with immediate effect and until further orders,” read the notification issued by the Establishment Division on Monday.
Ms. Shahera Shahid joined the Civil Service of Pakistan in 1988 and served on a number of important assignments like Executive Director Lok Virsa on two separate occasions. She has been DG-II and DG-1 in Directorate of Electronic Media. She has been Principal Information Officer (PIO) and has served as Director General Radio Pakistan. From where she moved on to serve as the Press Secretary to the Prime Minister.
She has also served as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
She holds a Master degree in History from Government College Lahore and earned a bachelor’s from Kinnaird College in History and Political Science.
She is from the 15th Common Training Program (CTP), attended the 6th Mid-Career Management Course (MCMC), 10th Senior Management Course (SMC), and 107th National Management Course at National School of Public Policy.

Separately, Sayyed Mubashar Tauqir Shah, a BS-21 Officer of Information Group, presenting awaiting posting in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, has been posted as the Managing Director, PTVC on deputation basis.
