The match-win match for both the teams is also likely to be affected by the rain as it’s been case throughout the Asia Cup 2023. If the match is washed out or ends without any result or even it is tied, Sri Lanka will be through to the Final to face India on September 17 since Pakistan’s awful net run rate (NRR) is at -1.892.
When the Asia Cup kicked off, Pakistan had their full strength with three quality pacers fully fit to decimate the opponents. However, in the Super 4 Match against India, scenario flipped over and two of Pakistan’s fast bowlers Naseem Shah and Haris Ruaf sustained injuries. Though Haris Rauf yet remains part of the squad but Naseem Shah has been completely ruled out of the event and replaced by Zaman Khan. Shahnawaz Dahani has also joined the squad to replace Haris Rauf if required.
