You do not need to run back to Pakistan or stay stuck in UAE because of your expired passport. DGI&P has introduced a digital system for online Pakistani passport renewal in UAE. Applicants who want to renew their existing passports can do this process online. However, the service is not available for new issues or modifications. For availing of such services, you have to visit the nearest Pakistan embassies in UAE or visit the office of the Consulate General of Pakistan in Dubai. However, the process of Pakistani passport renewal in the UAE has become quite easy and convenient for applicants who can do this from the comfort of their homes.

Required Documents

The required documents for the passport renewal process may vary according to the type of applicant. The compulsory documents are given below:

  • Photograph up to 5MB
  • A filled fingerprint form
  • A valid credit card for online payment.

Apart from these things, here are details of the required documents from each applicant.

General Applications

  • Colore scanned copies of both sides of the Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC), National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP), or Smart CNIC or NICOP.
  • Colore scanned copy of existing passport.
  • Copy of visa/ iqama/ asylum card, residence permit/ or any other nationality passport.

Documents required for minors under the age of 18

All copies need to be coloured and scanned

  • Copy of valid NICOP, Sart Card, computerised b-form, or Family Registration Certificate.
  • Copies of both sides of parents’ or guardians’ valid CNIC.
  • Guardianship certificate or court issue in terms of separation between parents.
  • Copy of minor’s attestation form.
  • Copy of death certificate in case of death of any of the parents.
  • Scanned copy of visa/ iqama/ residence permit/ asylum car/ or other nationality passports.

For Government Employees

  • Scanned copies of CNIC, NICOP, or Smart Card.
  • No Objection Certificate (NOC) by the employing government department of Pakistan.
  • Copy of existing passport (first two pages and any random page).
  • Scanned copy of visa/ iqama/ residence permit/ asylum car/ or other nationality passports.

Application Process

To start your application for Pakistani Passport Renewal in UAE 2023 you have to follow the given steps:

  • Collect all the required documents before beginning the application.
  • Go to the official website of DGI&P at https://onlinemrp.dgip.gov.pk
  • Log in with your username and Passport if you are already registered in the Pak identity system. If you are not registered, then register yourself.
  • Begin with your Pakistani passport renewal application.
  • Provide all the necessary details required to fill out the form.
  • Enter your valid address for passport delivery
  • Use your credit/ debit card to pay the renewal fee.
  • Enter the required personal details.
  • Provide your permanent address.
  • Upload your photograph of not more than 5 MB.
  • Upload all the scanned coloured copies of the required documents.
  • download the form to put your fingerprint impressions on the form.
  • Capture the four fingerprints asked by the system.
  • Scan the form at 600 DPI, JPEG/ JPG, and in Grayscale.
  • Upload the form and review all the information provided.
  • Sign the declaration and submit your application for Pakistani passport renewal in UAE.

All the verification codes regarding the online payment and application submission will be sent via email.  After application submission, DGI&P will provide you with a tracking ID.
