Foreign Exchange Reserves of Pakistan

The total Liquid Foreign Exchange Reserves held by Pakistan reached US$ 14.07 billion by July 14, 2023 including US$ 8.7 billion held with the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), an increase of US$ 4.2 billion inflows from the previous week ended on July 07.Foreign Exchange Reserves of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh & Afghanistan

The State Bank’s reserves received a substantial boost with inflows from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) (US$ 1.2 billion), Saudi Arabia (US$ 2 billion), and UAE (US$ 1 billion).

The foreign exchange reserves with the SBP as of July 14 were the highest since October 2022 when they stood at US$ 8,759.8 million.

In India, the foreign exchange reserves rose to a total of US$ 609.02 billion as of July 14, the highest in nearly 15 months.

The data released by the Reserve Bank of India on Friday showed that the country’s forex reserve rose by US$ 12.743 billion to US$ 609.022 billion in the week that ended on July 14, 2023.
