Some of the key highways and roads in the UAE include Sheikh Zayed Road, Emirates Road or Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road, Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Road, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Road, Al Ain Truck Road, Sheikh Khalifa Highway, Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Road, Abu Dhabi–Al Ain Truck Road, and Dubai-Al Ain Road.

Motorists love to drive in well-stretched and well-paved roads across the UAE, highly suitable for fast and smooth driving. But yet cautions must be observed while driving as last year 3,945 major accidents occurred on UAE roads, causing 343 fatalities and 5,045 injuries.Tips for Driving Safely on UAE Roads

The following are tips for driving safely on UAE roads;
  • Always drive defensively
  • Always wear your seat belt
  • Keep a sufficient distance between their vehicle and do not tailgate
  • Approach signals carefully, even when the light is green; do not jump red lights
  • Plan your schedules properly and leave early to avoid the need for rushing or speeding
  • Be aware of your own potential limitations
  • Avoid fatigue and get enough sleep, and pull over immediately if you becoming drowsy
  • Use public transport
