NationalM-TAG Services on Motorways to be unavailable from July 6-12

The M-TAG Services will be temporarily unavailable from July 06 to 12, 2023 on Islamabad-Lahore Motorway (M-2), Lahore-Abdul Hakeem Motorway (M-3), and Pindi Bhattian-Multan Motorway (M-4) due to the upgradation of electronic trolling system.

Therefore, commuters on motorways have been asked by the National Highways & Motorway Police (NHMP) to pay the toll in cash during these dates.

Separately, since the Met Office has forecast rain/wind-thundershower from July 03 to 08 in upper parts of the Country, therefore, the NHMP has advised the general pubic to avoid unnecessary travelling.

The motorists have also been asked to drive cautiously in compliance with traffic rules.M-TAG Services on Motorways to be unavailable from July 6-12

The Met Office informed that moist currents from Arabian sea are likely to penetrate in upper parts of the Country and a westerly wave is also likely to enter these areas on July 03 (evening/night).

Under the influence of these weather systems:

  • Rain/wind-thundershower (with few heavy falls/ hailstorm) is expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Murree, Galliyat, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, Chitral, Swat, Mansehra, Kohistan, Abbottabad, Haripur, Peshawar, Mardan, Swabi, Nowshera, Kurram, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Kohat, Mianwali, Sargodha, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Sheikhupura, Faisalabad, Jhang and Toba Tek Singh from 03rd (evening/night) to July 08 with occasional gaps.
  • Rain/wind-thundershower with isolated heavy falls is also expected in Barkhan, Loralai, Sibbi, Naseerabad, Kalat, Khuzdar, Zhob, Lasbella, Awaran, Musakhel, D.I Khan, Bannu, Karak, Waziristan, D.G khan, Rajanpur, Multan, Bhakkar, Layyah, Kot Addu, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Sahiwal and Okara from July 05 to 08.
  • Rain/wind-thundershower with isolated heavy falls is also expected in Sukkur, Jacobabad Ghotki, Shaheed Benazirabad, Larkana, Mithi, Chhor, Padidan, Nagarparkar, Tharparkar, Umerkot, Sanghar, Mirpur Khas, Dadu, Thatta, Badin, Hyderabad and Karachi on July 07 and 08.
