There are high chances of losing your NOL card due to accidents or our negligence. Moreover, there is also a probability of getting your card stolen. However, it does not mean that you will lose all of your balance. RTA has developed a refund service for NOL card holders to protect them from losses. Apart from the cases of stolen or lost cards, you can also apply for a refund in other situations. These conditions allow you to request for NOL Card Balance Refund.

To apply for a refund against your NOL card credit, you need to have the following documents with you:

How to Refund NOL Card Balance?

An NOL Card balance refund is possible so you do not lose all the amount in your account. Here is a detailed procedure to do so:

  • First, you need to contact RTA’s customer service centre at 800 90 90 to report a lost or stolen card so they can lock it.
  • Then visit RTA’s official website at https://www.rta.ae/wps/portal/rta/ae/public-transport/nol/nol-refund?lang=en.
  • Enter your 10-digit NOL card TAG ID.
  • Then, the screen will demand from you the reason for a refund from the three given options: stolen, lost, or expired.
  • After selecting your reason, enter your PIN code that Blue or personalized card holders get via SMS on their cellphones.
  • Provide your personal information like Full Name, COnatct no, Emirates ID, Address and nationality.
  • Recheck your details and agree to the terms and conditions to proceed further.
  •  Confirm your application and pay a fee of Dh70.
  • After the fee payment, the bank will receive a reference number for tracking your application.
  • After the confirmation of the application, the process of blocking the card will continue.
  • Once RTA confirms your application, you will receive a confirmation SMS that the refund is transferred to the other card.

The cost of NOL Card Balance Refund is AED 70 for all applicants.
