ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The federal government has announced holidays on the occasion of Eid Ul Adha 2023.

The Eid Ul Adha holidays have been announced from June 29 to July 01, 2023; however, those offices which observe six-day working week will have holidays from June 29 to 30, 2023.

Since, the eid holidays announced by the government exclude the weekend (Saturday-Sunday); therefore, practically all employees will enjoy four holidays from June 29 to July 02, 2023.

The notification issued on Tuesday stated ““In continuation of Cabinet Division’s Circular No. 10-02/2022-Min-II dated 23rd December 2022 regarding Public and Optional Holidays for the year 2023, it is for general information that the Prime Minister is please to approve the public holidays on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha as follows;

  • 29th & 30th June 2023 (Thursday & Friday) for the offices observing five days working in a week, and
  • 29th June to 1st July 2023 (Thursday, Friday & Saturday) for the offices observing 6 days working in a week.”

Earlier on Monday evening, the Chairman Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Moulana Abdul Khabir Azad announced that the Crescent of Zil Hajj 1444 AH had been sighted and Eid Ul Adha would be celebrated in Pakistan on June 29.Eid Ul Adha 2023 Holidays in Pakistan
