The Excise and Taxation Department Gilgit-Baltistan has advised tourists to avoid visiting Babusar Top, the most famous tourist attraction in Diamer district.
The department said that a glacier has melted near Babusar Top, causing the closure of the road.
It said that the road still remains closed and will be reopened in a few days.
Therefore, it advised the tourists against travelling to the area to avert the inconvenience.
The Babusar Pass or Babusar Top is a mountain pass in Pakistan at the north of the 150 km (93 miles) long Kaghan Valley, connecting it via the Thak Nala with Chilas on the Karakoram Highway (KKH).
It connects Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with Gilgit-Baltistan.
