KARACHI, Pakistan: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Friday inaugurated the 4th International Textile Exhibition (TEXPO) 2023 at Expo Center in Karachi.

The 4th Edition of International Textile Expo – being organized from May 26 to 28, 2023 – will showcase the best of what the textile and leather industry of Pakistan has to offer to foreign buyers and that includes exhibition of subsectors of Textile and Leather like readymade garments, gloves, accessories, carpets, home textile and others.

The main objective of the event is to connect Pakistani business community with the international buyers and to display full range of Pakistan’s textile and leather products under one roof for networking to develop long term international business relations.

Business individuals, large scale buying houses, chain stores, trade bodies, representatives of trade promotion organizations and government regulatory authorities including from East Africa and Rwanda are expected to attend the exhibition.

In his address at the Inauguration Ceremony, the prime minister said that the Textile Sector is backbone of Country’s economy.

In Karachi, the prime minister will hold a meeting with the Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori.

In a separate meeting with the investors, he will listen to their proposals regarding the next budget.

The prime minister will also perform the ground breaking of Greater Karachi Water Supply Scheme (K-4).
