The subsidized prices of the following essential commodities are being fixed by the Federal Cabinet:
  1. Atta
  2. Sugar
  3. Ghee
  4. Rice
  5. Pulses

The Utility Stores Corporation (USC) procures the stock of branded items from the reputed national/ multinational companies. When there is a change in the prices in the open market (National/International) vendors forward a request to the USC for revision in price.

The USC, Price Revision Committee, considers & recommends price revision as per market prices.

The Committee comprises of the following members:

  1. General Manager (SO&S)
  2. General Manager (Finance)
  3. Concerned General Manager
  4. Manager (Own Brand)
  5. Accounts Manager

On the recommendations of Price Revision Committee, the Competent Authority i.e. the Managing Director USC approves the recommendations of price revision.
