RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: Four terrorists were killed while two Pakistan Army soldiers embraced martyrdom in an exchange of fire in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Khyber district, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

In a statement on Wednesday, the ISPR said that a fire exchange took place between Pakistan Army troops and terrorists in Tirah area of Khyber district on April 25, 2023.

The troops effectively engaged the terrorists’ location; resultantly, two terrorists were sent to hell and four terrorists were injured.

The ISPR said that weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the killed terrorists.

However, during the intense exchange of fire, 26-year-old Sepoy Waqas Ali Shah (resident of District Charsadda) and 24-year-old Sepoy Basit Ali (resident of District Peshawar) having fought gallantly embraced shahadat.

The ISPR said that the sanitization of the area is being carried out to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area.

It said that the security forces of Pakistan are determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve.
