LONDON: Man who was arrested by the London Metropolitan Police in Imran Farooq murder case on Monday, has been released on bail till September.

Iftikhar Hussain, 52, was arrested from Heathrow Airport after he flew from Canada and questioned for over 48 hours at a London police station; however, police did not disclose about their investigations.

The 52-year-old Iftikhar Hussain is a British citizen of Pakistani origin. Sources said police garnered vital information from the suspect’s mobile phone sims.

Meantime, London police heightened the arrangements made for the security of Imran’s widow Shumaila Imran and her children with armed guard at her residence.

Police also visited her and elicited some details in connection with the points that recently emerged. She also has been apprised of the latest development in probe of her husband’s murder.
