Three back-to-back victories have pushed Lahore Qalandars to the top of the HBL PSL 8 Points Table, surpassing Multan Sultans which four-match winning streak was halted by Karachi Kings with a 66 runs victory.

The Defending Champions Lahore Qalandars kicked off their HBL 2023 Campaign with a victory over Sultans; however, they lost to Karachi in their following match by 67 runs.

Soon they bounced back by registering three consecutive triumphs over opponents, and now they are ruling the Points Table.

Multan Sultans though didn’t have an excellent beginning as they suffered a one-run defeat in their opener but then they took off and won next four matches in a row before losing to Karachi.

Islamabad United have delivered mixed performances so far in HBL 2023. In their last game against Qalandars, United lost by 110 runs which was the third biggest defeat in terms of runs in HBL PSL history.

Whereas Karachi Kings, Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators have so far looked struggling in the event. In fact, Quetta have so far managed to bag just one victory in their five matches.

With regard to individual performances, Multan Sultans’ Captain Mohammad Rizwan with 358 runs is atop in the most runs chart of HBL PSL 8 followed by Qalandars’ Fakhar Zaman who has struck 235 runs.

In bowling, Ihsanullah of Multan is the leading wicket-taker with 14 wickets whereas Shaheen Shah Afridi and Abbas Afridi are at second and third spots respectively with 10 wickets each.
