ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The National Education Foundation (NEF), in collaboration with Pakistan Alliance for Girl’s Education, Solidar, and Japan International Cooperation Agency, opened a Non-Formal Accelerated Learning Center in Islamabad on Wednesday.

The opening ceremony was graced by the Parliamentary Secretary at the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training Zeb Jaffar.

The Non-Formal Accelerated Learning Center is designed to provide quality education to out-of-school children who have not had access to formal education or have had to drop out of school due to financial, social, or cultural barriers.

The Center aims to offer an innovative and engaging curriculum to enable students to acquire free education at their door steps.

The initiative is being carried out with the aim of providing a conducive learning environment for children who do not fit in the normal education stream.

Expressing her appreciation of the initiative, Zeb Jaffar said that “the Non Formal Accelerated Learning Center is a fantastic initiative that aims to provide out-of-school children with quality education.

The collaboration between National Education Foundation, Pakistan Alliance for Girl’s Education, Solidar, and Japan International Cooperation Agency is a step towards ensuring that children in our society are not left behind and can access education that will benefit them in the future.”

The center aims to cater to the diverse learning needs of the children in the surrounding areas, and enrollment is expected to increase as parents become aware of the opportunity to provide quality education for their children.

The National Education Foundation and its partners are committed to expanding the center’s reach to other parts of the Country to ensure that more children who have dropped out of school or never been to school can access education and skills training.

In closing, the Center’s Management expressed their gratitude to all the organizations that have joined hands to make this project a reality, stating that the center is a significant milestone towards addressing the challenge of out-of-school children in Pakistan.
