Pakistan will play their first warm-up match of ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 against England at The Gabba in Brisbane on Monday.

Pakistan’s next warm-up match will be against Afghanistan at the same venue on Wednesday.

Besides Pakistan vs England game, three more warm-up matches will also be played on Monday.

India and Australia will play their warm-up match at The Gabba in Brisbane while the warm-up matches between New Zealand and South Africa as well as between Afghanistan and Bangladesh will be played at Allan Border Field in Brisbane.

Namibia beat Sri Lanka by 55 runs in 1st match of T20 World Cup 2022

Earlier in a Group A match, Namibia pulled of the first upset of T20 World Cup 2022 when they beaten Sri Lanka by 55 runs at Kardinia Park in Geelong in the inaugural match of the mega event.

Batting first, Namibia scored 163 for 7 in 20 overs with Jan Frylinck’s 44 runs.

The entire Sri Lankan team was bowled out for 108 runs in 19 overs, falling short of 55 runs. The Captain Dasun Shanaka was the highest scorer for Sri Lanka making 29 runs.

From Namibia, David Wiese, Bernard Scholtz, Ben Shikongo, and Jan Frylinck picked up 2 wickets each.

Later in another Group A match, Netherlands defeated the United Arab Emirates (UAE) by 3 wickets.

The UAE had set the target of 112 runs for Netherlands which the latter reached in 19.5 overs for the loss of 7 wickets.

Tomorrow, four teams of Group B will take on each other at Bellerive Oval in Hobart.

West Indies will play against Scotland and in the next match, Ireland will meet Zimbabwe.
