Afghanistan and Sri Lanka will again lock horn on Saturday night but at a different venue than Dubai which hosted their opening game of Asia Cup 2022 last month.

It would be the first game of Supreme 4 Stage featuring six T20 International matches among Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, and Afghanistan before the final on September 11.

Afghanistan beaten Sri Lanka in opener of Asia Super 2022 by 8 wickets

Both Afghanistan Sri Lanka earlier opened the tournament on August 27 with the match in which the former completely bamboozled the latter and bagged an eight-wicket win.

In the preliminary stage, Afghanistan won both of their matches against Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

On the other hand, Sri Lanka defeated Bangladesh in a nail-biter by two wickets at Dubai on September 01.

Last night, Pakistan blew away Hong Kong at Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

When asked to bat first, Pakistan posted a gigantic score of 193 runs on the board after 20 overs.

The Captain Babar Azam again went early on 9 but the following 116 runs partnership off 81 balls between Mohammad Rizwan and Fakhar Zaman and later Khushdil Shah’s onslaught helped Pakistan put up a massive total.

Rizwan scored unbeaten 78 runs, Fakhar 53 while Khushdil Shah smashed 35 runs of just 15 balls with five sixes.

In reply, none of Hong Kong’s batsmen was able to score in double-digits and the entire team was bowled out on just 38 runs. Spinners Shadab Khan and Mohammad Nawaz picked up 4 and 3 wickets respectively. Naseem Shah took 2 wickets while Shahnawaz Dahani also grabbed 1 wicket.

Eventually, Pakistan won the match by 155 runs, and Mohammad Rizwan was awarded Played of the Match award.
