RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) has said that during the last 24 hours, Pakistan Army relief efforts have been accelerated as per the direction of the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa.

In a press release on Saturday, the ISPR said that up till now, 5,487 ration packs and more than 1,200 tents have been distributed among the flood affectees in all across the country during last 24 hours.

In order to help the flood victims, 7,522 troops of Pakistan Army are currently employed along with 50 boats whereas 25 Field Medical Camps have also been established where more than 25,000 patients treated so far.

In addition, 117 Relief Camps have also been established in all over the Country.

The ISPR further said that Army Flood Relief Coordination Centre has been established under Army Air Defence Command with a mandate to coordinate Rescue and relief efforts in synchronization with stakeholders at Army level.

The Country-wide army collection points are being established to synergize the efforts with respect to collection and distribution of relief items.

Army Flood Relief Help Line

Furthermore, the Army Flood Relief help line has been established.

The army help desks across Pakistan in various formations can be reached on Universal Access Number (UAN) 1135.

Flood Situation

Light to moderate to heavy rains have been recorded across the Country with Malam Jabba (58 mm) receiving maximum rainfall.

Currently, River Jhelum, Ravi, Chenab and Sutlej are flowing normal while Indus is at very High Flood Level at Attock, High Flood Level at Taunsa and Sukkar, Medium Flood Level at Chashma, Guddu and Kotri, Low Flood Level at Tarbela and Kalabagh, Kabul River is at Very High at Naushera and High Flood Level at Warsak and River Sawat is at High Flood Level at Munda while at Medium Flood Level at Amandara.

  1. Balochistan

Affected Districts: Khuzdar, Sibbi, Naseerabad, Jafferabad, Jhalmagsi, Lasbela, Sohbatpur and Musa-khel

  1. Sindh

Affected Districts: Tando Allahyar, Khairpur, Badin, Dadu, Sukkar, Kamber Shahdad Kot, Ghotki and Larkana

  1. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Affected Districts: Dera Ismail Khan, Tank, Swat, Naushera and Charsadda

  1. Gilgit-Baltistan

Affected Districts: Gilgit, Hunza and Ghizar
