NOWSHERA, Pakistan: The Deputy Commissioner Nowshera Mir Reza Ozgen has asked the people to immediately evacuate and reach safe reach to survive the imminent devastation caused by flood waters.

The water flow in Kabul River is 155,400 cusecs, and it is likely to increase from 300,000 to 4,100,000 cusecs, causing a more dangerous situation than witnessed in 2010 flood.

Therefore, the areas adjacent to the Kabul River are at risk of severe flooding.

The Deputy Commissioner asked the dwellers of Nowshera Kalan (Jumla Abadi), Amanghar Gujjar Basti, Khat Kalay, Pir Sabaq, Dhobi Ghat in Nowshera Cantt, all government and residential buildings of Cantonment Board, Zara Miana, Mughalki, Misri Banda, Marhatti, Witr (on the right side of GT Road), Taj Mahal Inn Restaurant, Ajmiri and Alam Garden Hall, Usmania Wedding Hall & Restaurant, River View & Korba Restaurant, Akora Khattak Baghban Abad, Jehangira, and all other adjacent areas to vacate their places as soon as possible and move to safe areas.

The GT Road will be inundated by three to four feet in a few hours’ time.
