ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Federal Minister for Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) Shazia Atta Marri has said that the government will provide relief to people in the budget being announced on Friday.

Talking to newsmen in Islamabad on Wednesday, she said that Rs 28 billion are being provided to people through Benazir Income Support Programme. She said that six million people have recently been included in the ambit of the BISP to curtail poverty.

The minister said that Rs 2,000 are being given to those whom monthly income is less than Rs 40,000.

Shazia Marri said that Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has taken inputs from people affiliated with different sectors for betterment of economy.
