ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Imran Khan has decided to summon an in-camera meeting of the National Security Committee (NSC) to review the letter he claims he has in which Pakistan was threatened by a foreign Country.

Sources privy to the development said that the prime minister discussed the issue of threatening letter with top security organs of the Country and decided to call the NSC meeting.

They also said that a short while ago, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa and the Director General of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Lt General Nadeem Ahmed Anjum reached Prime Minister’s Office and met Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Imran Khan also held a meeting with senior journalists in Islamabad and shared in detail the threatening latter with them.

Sources said that the prime minister didn’t show the threatening letter directly to journalists rather the Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Asad Umar read out key points to them, and now it will be presented in an in-camera Session of the Parliament.

Talking to media persons, the prime minister said that a threat has been hurled in the letter that if the No Confidence Motion tabled by the joint opposition against doesn’t succeeds, it will have dire consequences.

The prime minister said that there are 80% chances of the government’s success in the motion.

“We are not happy with policies of the incumbent government in Pakistan but all could be forgiven if the No Confidence Motion is successful,” the senior journalist Kashif Abbasi said while disclosing some of the content of the letter shared with media persons by the prime minister.
